What a joke, voted the 2013 inland park of the year.Would love to know who they paid for the award???My experience , here we go!!Ready for this?.OK I will carry on.Let me just say, this is MY opinion of the park .Here we go, on arriving at said park, I was told 4 adult's were staying there.incorrect , only 2 were ever booked into the park from hell. ok if 4 of us were booked in to the park, who was going to be in the bunk bed's, my aged parent's or my partner and I?. I was quoted a price over the phone for the 7 day's..was charged $55 more on arrival!!!and the shed we were offered at a premium price..$595 for 7 day's.On arriving , we were told we were in Cabin #10, bearing in mind, they thought 4 adult's were staying, there was bedding only on the double bed. NO curtain to divide the room. The door to the toilet/shower was not working, the bracket that held up the door was broken!!you could NOT shut the door!!!Could it get worse?..oh yes it can...just a few point's to bear in mind ok?...there was a hole in the landing right in front of the door, that my partner's foot would have fitted in....the window's in the unit would not open!!! I actually tried to open the window next to the bed, the window frame, came away from the glass!!!!The electrical equipment was almost 12 month's out of date..the unit burn's down!!!you have NO insurance cover!!1smoke alarm had flat battery, electrical cord's coiled up,air con was a joke..43 degree's to 39 in 3 hr's range hood not working, ancient gas stove leaked to the point we did not use it.power board "crackled" when the kettle was plugged into it.shower head falls down.. no control over the temprature.hot water spurts from the tap, my partner burnt her hand!!!!..it was ok in the ensuite sink..no need to turn the tap on, it ran all the time!!outside the unit..ok gas bottle's were not secured, there was a facility to secure them, but it was not used. Electrical connection to the unit's was from OPEN connections, power cord's were on the ground!!. ALL power chord's were on the ground..the power chord's to the two unit's on the river...were on the ground...being run over by car's!!! The image in the Magazine.."Tourist New's"..does NOT exist!!!there are no willow's at willow bend caravan park!!I was promised a FULL refund I still have not had this???????It has now been almost 2 week's!! I have spoken to the Shire Council about this,l they are going to conduct a full investigation with regard to my report!!!!really you would be better to stay in a trash can than the caravan park at Wentworth!! Repeated request's to do a Internet refund, direct credit to my account, fell on deaf ear's..here we are on the 23 of Dec.....STILL waiting for a refund via post???..IF you want to contact me?..my Mobile is 0438896445 I can fill you in on the real story..cheer's n have fun Gary
