No better place for sundowner drinks than on the dunes watching the surf roll in, kangaroos feeding, and all the birds doing their thing. I camped with friends as a teenager and have been coming back ever since. Now my Wife and I still love the trip down the beach, setting up camp, endless stars, teaching my kids the basics of good camping and making fires, so they can enjoy the same as they get older. A great place to make your own fun.

Straddie Roadhouse QLD Pty Ltd all camping grounds on straddie are beautiful but you can't beat main beach ever since I can remember from my child hood the excitement the night before arriving at Straddie, I could not sleep waiting for that 1st moment of driving along the beach and smelling the sea air, camping in the world best natural resort find a sport set up camp and enjoy mother Nature at its best, showers deep in bush land while watching the family of Kangaroo in their natural surrounding. I live on the Island know and still love taking my holidays camping in my home land at the same spot with my own kids. and believe they will grow up doing the same.

Camping on The Mainbeach foreshore is of course without electricity or water services, but that's part of what makes it so wonderful. 4WD access, the family dog is welcome, km's of beach to yourself, beautiful scenery and countless areas to fish from. A sunrise swim is just a 4min walk from your campsite over the dunes each morning...My best camping adventures to date were on Stradbroke Island.

We love camping on Main Beach, Stradbroke Island. A beautiful spot that seems away from it all, yet only an hour by barge from home. Sunrise is always beautiful, whale watching from your camp site, shops nearby (but not too close) if you need them. Who could ask for more?

love love love camping at main beach away from it all and quieter than the other camp sites on the island. All the negatives that might turn off the general camper is a positive to us, our camp shower is better than home. we always catch a fish. we can take our dogs. Is so good we are taking 80 people there in 6 weeks for our wedding.
