Reviews
Brian was a good bloke and helped us out finding a good spot to camp for the night. Nice quiet little park.
Lancelin caravan park is located in Lancelin next to the beach and fairly quiet. The facilities are basic but clean. The owner Brian appears to be an old school caravan park owner (as opposed to the modern corporate Big 4 parks), but was very helpful and friendly during our stay. The owner was not keen on arrivals after 6pm on Friday, but let us know this upfront (far enough). He was however fine with our early arrival on sat morning (8:30am). Lancelin is a windsurfing and kitesurfing heaven, and was windy.. Lancelin also has some great sand dunes nearby for sandboarding and 4wd fun. Fish n chips in town were yummy. The park is relatively inexpensive with basic clean facilities, hot showers and a friendly owner.
Unfortunately there is not a lot to choose from when you come to Lancelin. I would love this park to be a tourist park it is far from it the customer service is zero the location is great but the park itself leaves a lot to be desired. The ablution block for power sites however is clean and modern. Considering 2 million people live within the metropolitan area can these persons that own caravan parks not realise the needs of holiday makers. I had to choose this park because I had no other choice, not ideally what I preferred
We stayed here recently for a couple of days, access to the caravan bays is a little difficult through narrow and bouncy road surfaces, the caravan area is good, with clean uncluttered sites surrounded on 3 sides by permanent park homes. Not the best park we have stayed at, but certainly not the worst. $27 a night for 2 people is cheap by today's standards.
We have stayed at the park 3 times now and the manager is a gentleman the park is clean and close to the beach the cafe over the road is excellent. When our towed vehicle broke down the manager could not be more helpfull we found it to be a great restfull park with courteous help some people just whine for the sake of making a noise and they should get a life Graeme & Jan
Terrible host at the front desk. Impolite, unhelpful and so we walked away. Sadly..... as the town is such a beautiful place.
Perfect! The owner was very helpful when we came up and camped with our 2 small children. He relocated us to a more shady area. The facilities are adequate and nice and clean. No play areas for children, but the beach is a very short walk away which was awesome. Could not fault. Definitely book ahead. They supply ice here too. And great cafe across the road that sells great coffee, bakery goodness and lovely lunches.
Well after visiting this place, the people were lovely in the town but the park manager is grumpy person been in the job far to long. Not helpful at all, try somewhere else.
i could not fault it had a great time very clean and frendly as for the other comment people can have bad days if u didnt book in then move along its a busy place and booking ahead is asentual i think epecially when travelling
This review is based on the short talk with the receptionist, who literally sent us away, so we cannot score entirely the place. He was very busy and grumpy, had no time for 2 strangers. So he gave us no chance other than walk away, although I think he walked away first :/
