The park also has about 2kms of its own newly reconstructed bushland walking trails, which were devastated during the Black Saturday bushfire. Come and see the amazing regeneration of the bushland with stunning scenery with an abundance of bird and wildlife. The walks are well signed and have interpretive signage along the way.
Glen Cromie is also well known as a Day Park due to its idyllic location. A visitor fee is applicable to all visitors. We also have 5 large Shelters available for hire, perfect for that family picnic, school, work or social group gathering. There are also a number of coin operated electric BBQ's placed around the park. We also have a large gas BBQ available for hire if needed.
Our recent stay was bitterly disappointing! Not long after booking our sites (November), the area was damaged by water. Understandably this is out of the control of the park and therefore needed to be fixed - soil was dumped to raise the level of the sites and is still waiting to be seeded. However, we were never informed of this deteriation of the site prior to or upon check-in and paid full peak price up front. When we drove into the site we found out that we had just paid for at dust pit! I believe that it was the owner's duty of care to either inform patron's before check-in or temporarily close the below sub-standard sites. We had 19 young children amongst us (known to Karen when booked and confirmed) and all playing at ground level in dirt - not fair on the kids! When leaving ''most of the children were free'' was the response I got - no care for well being. I agree and support all comments about 'money hungary' - they could invest all additional charges into improving sub-standard equipment and services. Also NOTE - no information referring to fact that NO CLEAN DRINKING WATER AVAILABLE. Its all river water. As a group, none of us will ever return as owner is rude, and we will pass on an honest comment to all that ask. There are many other beautiful parks around.
I recently stayed at Glen Cromie Family Holiday Park with my family. The owners Charlie and Karen are exceptional hosts, they are friendly, approachable, and professional with an amazing sense of humour and share a love of their park, which is clearly displayed on the sign posts throughout the park and walking tracks to inform visitors of local plants and aboriginal history. The park and surrounding forest is beautifully manicured and maintained. There is an abundance of wildlife and fish are a plenty in the tranquil Tarago River which meanders through the valley. The pleasure of sitting in one of the Cabins, Caravans or Tent sites and listening to the songs of, Kookaburras, Wrens, Currawongs, water fowl, bell birds and off course the soaring majestic raptors high in the sky is pleasing and relaxing to observe. The site surrounded by, The Strzelecki White Gums, stand tall and strong. They provide an atmosphere of spiritual universal peace, holistic healing and sentimentality to ones mind body and soul. We highly recommend your next booking take place at Glen Cromie to re-establish your health well-being and vitality. The Fullartons
We have stayed at Glen Cromie in the past, sleeping in a tent for New Years. We returned earlier this month with an upgrade form our tent, to the new family caravan. As our maiden voyage, we chose Glen Cromie as it was close by to us and we knew the park had lots on offer for us adults and the kids. Friendly staff, relaxing atmosphere and plenty of bike tracks for the kids to ride around on, while the wife and I sat back relaxing. I am amazed at some of the reviews on here that are bad mouthing the park ?? We have been twice, 2 years apart from the first visit and we have been treated very well both times. Clear instructions are in place so all campers can have an enjoyable visit. We will return in Feb this year with our van and continue to stay at Glen Cromie when we want to stay local, keep up the good work !
Glen cromie is an amazing park perfect for a quiet weekend away, a longer term holiday or even just a day trip. Me and my partner return every year for our annual leave holidays and have done so for the last 9 years. Park amenities are maintained daily and the staff are always willing to assist in any way they can. Owners are lovely people and are always there to enhance your experience so you can worry about nothing other then relaxing. only thing we don't like about the park is the fact we have to leave to return to work. Highly recommend glen cromie to all my friends and family and will be back ourselves every chance we get!
We have just spent a very relaxing weekend at glen cromie and found it to be a very quiet park with good sites be prepared for the birds to wake you up early the staff were very helpful. we definitely will be staying here again. Peter & Annette
We had a lovely weekend at this park. We stayed in the on-site caravan which was clean and comfortable. It was great value for money. Although the owners were away we spoke to them over the phone a few times and Karen was always helpful and polite. Lisa was there to greet us when we arrived and she was helpful and attentive to our needs. We highly recommend Glen Cromie for a quiet get away in a beautiful location.
We booked because we thought it would be a lovely park in a great rural setting. The location nice however unfortunately our experience was not. Upon booking we learnt only 2 cabins are available in entire park (we needed 4). This meant half of our group had to stay at another facility. When we arrived they were more interested in charging my Credit Card then anything else. Compulsory 2 night stay, Surcharge per person, $5 per extra car, $2 per person for guests to visit per day, extra costs to use communal shelters for a few hours, cost for bbq just to name a few. Rules enforced nazi style with paying visitors arriving at 7 and asked to leave at 9. In terms of Cabin is met standard aside from the amount of rubbish and junk stored underneath. And Im not sure that i needed the call at 10.32 looking for the keys the morning of checkout when they could see us packing car. If u want to feel ripped off and deal with rude staff, then i recommend. If u want an enjoyable break away, stay elsewhere. Thanks for reading.
A fantastic location a pity the managers are money hungry! $2 per person just to visit! And residences paying for BBQ area extra is robbery!
We stayed at glen cromie between Christmas and new year the facilities were good although no camp kitchen or fridge , the scenery and walks were beautiful, it was dog friendly and we brought our own puppy fencing so the dogs were secured. Karen the manager lacks people skills to the point of rude.
We just stayed for the Australia Day weekend, and were warmly welcomed by the friendly managers on arrival. Peaceful park, great for families, quiet after 10pm strictly enforced, fires ok, pets ok. Floating down the river was a favourite activity of both kids and adults. Bushwalk on park grounds peaceful and gorgeous. Thoroughly recommend this place, but don't tell too many people, as I want to be able to get a spot when next I want to go there! If I had to say something negative, the shower cubicles are tiny, so don't take any clothes to change into, go back to your tent, or van to do that. Managers couldn't do enough to ensure peace and tranquillity and a good time was had by all. Very very clean. Grassy sites.
Great spot right on the River Bank

The staff where very helpfull and great to deal with nothing was too much trouble. We really enjoyed the time we spent in this nice secluded park and would go back any time for a relaxing break.
