If you like camping on the beach with your dog, it doesn't get much better than Flinders Beach. Twelve beachfront camping areas are scattered along 9km of beachfront. The camp sites are in natural areas and are only accessible by 4WD along the beach, or by bush tracks. The only facilities provided on Flinders Beach are toilets at a number of key access points. Dogs are allowed when camping at Flinders Beach, however they must be on a lead at all times. We allow 1 vehicle and 2 dogs per campsite. If you have more than 1 vehicle or more than 2 dogs please book more sites.
Don't forget you will need to buy a 4WD Beach Access Permit to drive on the beaches on North Stradbroke Island.

Flinders Beach is popular for beach fishing, kayaking, swimming, and other water sports. 9km of soft white sandy beaches are also popular with 4WD-ing.
Our fave place to go and relax and the bonus is we can take the dogs. Absolutely love this little haven.
Flinders Beach has to be one of our favourite campgrounds. Only a short distance from home we are frequent visitors to the beautiful North Stradbroke Island. Flinders is our choice of camping grounds for its protected clear waters, open space and tranquil location. Last weekend we camped at Flinders and after setting up camp only meters from the beach we noticed not one but three koalas in the trees above us! Flinders, we will most definitely be seeing you again soon!!
This camp ground is the best in the world! I have camped a lot but Flinders Beach is the best. Only down side is minimal amount of facilities. Such a gem of a place though! Have been there twice in the last month alone.
My famy has been heading to flinders beach for years and years. Defiantly our favorite camping destination!
This is a hidden gem Don't tell anyone else This is one of the best camp sites in Australia The view is worth a million dollars and this is one of the best places to just chill out. My clients love this camp site and you even get mobile service Just don't tell anyone else. Mike Corporate Camping
Flinders beach camp ground has the best location. Good sizes camp spaces and easy access tracks. Where else can you camp in such a great spot and bring your dog along. Rangers are friendly and helpful and the gelato man is never far away.
If you want to beach camp with Million dollar views it doesn't get better than Flinders. The beauty of the place simply never wears off which is why we've camped there at least a dozen times in the past few years. Most of the camping zones are Camper Trailer friendly and 1-6 are only a short drive along the beach away from the local Roadhouse and Cafe's. We prefer to camp at Flinders between May and August because there are no bugs, very few other campers, and long stretches of gorgeous sunny days. We also camp at Fraser and Moreton but prefer Flinders because there isn't the drunken yobbs ;-)
Best ultimate beach front camping we as a family of 4 have been to! We love being totally self sufficient and spent 9 glorious days camping on the divine Flinders Beach in January 2014. We shared our campsite with koalas and a lace monitor, just beautiful to see these magnificent creatures in the wild. The water was sensational, our girls swam every day, sometimes twice / three times! Flinders Beach... A must do for anybody's bucket list!!
Flinders Beach is a fantastic place to camp. Being able to take the fur kids there is great as they love the beach too. It feels so remote when you're there camping right up to the beachfront but great shops are close by to stock up on provisions.... fantastic beach driving, inland tracks, great views, beautiful swimming spots, fresh seafood available if you haven't been lucky enough to catch any fish. Also coming across on the ferry just adds to the whole experience of camping on an Island.
We love Flinders Beach! There aren't many places in south east Qld that you can bush camp and take your dogs and be less than 10 steps to the Beach. We have a camp trailer and go over as many times as we can during the year. Flinders is great is situated between Point Lookout and Amity. We sit in our beach chairs and see dolphins in the water, goannas in the trees and the view to Moreton. White sand, blue water, what else do you want.
