What a great park. Penny & James are doing a marvellous job. We were made welcome and they could not do enough for us. Do not know what below comments refer to but this place is a hidden gem. As more people get to hear about it it will be harder for us to get in. Telstra is a bit of a hit n miss but.

This park would be the best if the water drained out of the showers and not all over the floor outside the showers. The men's toilets smelt to high heavens every time you walk pass. only one tap worked on power and water poles. I think with a bit more maintenance around this would be a great place.

Wow what a gem of a place Cowley Beach Caravan park has become. We could not recomend this park any more highly if we tried, all you need is a good deck chair, a fishing rod and a full esky. Penny and James the new managers are a delight to spend time with, the previouse managers were nice but they seemed to have their favorites whom they overcatered to which drove a divide through the park. The park itself, including the ammenities have improved out of site in just 5 months of taking over. Thankyou for our stay.

Wow such controversy over the park. Tammy and Michael have done a good job and those buses have been paying part of the monstrous electricity bill. If they were not there the park would be empty. They need to keep these permanents in. There has not been any upgrades in the park to the roads and amenities. They are disgusting. Nothing has changed in 7 years.

Cowley Beach is truly a magical part of Far North Queensland and The Great Barrier Reef. My husband and Grand kids really enjoyed the fishing and I enjoyed the beautiful views. Special thanks to the friendly mangers for their local knowledge of tourist attractions near by. Would definitely recommend this Caravan Park.

EASTER 2015-The newish managers Desley and Allan are country people. Nothing was too much trouble as we needed something that we couldn't buy in Cowley Beach and Allan got it for us in Innisfail (which is just up the road). The amenities were immaculate, the grounds and surrounds well maintained and the beach is so quiet (it was Easter and the park almost to its capacity). Dogs allowed on leash all times (we got a dog) :-) . We intended to stay one night on our way home to Townsville however after Desley told us about the local community club having fish n chips on Saturday night we decided to stay the extra night and so glad we did....lovely short walk to club and for $6.50 orsum fish n chips with yumo salads, few drinks and evening stroll home to bus to watch the moon turn red (which it didn't lol) We definitely recommend a few nights (or a week or 2!!!) in this gorgeous park if its peace and quiet you are looking for. What a gem. Desley and Allan have improved the park no end. Shop full of goodies, papers available everyday. Mail three days a week, what more could you ask for. Lovely sites, pensioner discount, Amenities have been repainted. Fish being caught off the beach. Fantastic weather. I will be back.

I strongly recommend anyone considering staying at Cowley Beach Van Park re-consider. What was normally a beautifull park has been desicrated by the managers allowing 2 large buses to be parked side by side . One bus is under construction- complete with grinders, blow torches and welders. It is an absolute disgrace, breaking so many regulations I don't know where to start. It has definitely ruined any plans we had for Easter camping and poses a real health threat to campers anywhere near the site. Don't go there until the buses have been moved on- which could be a while- as one is totally immobile- a construction site.
